Hadith - How Good Deeds Make Dua Powerful

Making dua when one is truly helpless is among the strongest reasons for a dua to be accepted. This is shown by the hadith of the three men who had to shelter in a cave at night. A rock then rolled down from the hill and sealed the cave's entrance. They said to one another, "Find out the deeds which you did for the sake of Allah alone, then seek Allah with the help of those deeds, then hopefully He will relieve you from here." So they called on Allah through their good deeds, and because of this the rock shifted and they got out.
