اَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اَللَّهُ أَعَزُّ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ جَمِيعًا، اَللَّهُ أَعَزُّ مِمَّا أَخَافُ وَأَحْذَرُ، أَعُوْذُ بِاللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْمُمْسِكِ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ أَنْ يَقَعْنَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ، مِنْ شَرِّ عَبْدِكَ فُلَانٍ، وَجُنُودِهِ وَأَتْبَاعِهِ وَأَشْيَاعِهِ، مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ، اَللَّهُمَّ كُنْ لِي جَارًا مِنْ شَرِّهِمْ، جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ وَعَزَّ جَارُكَ، وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

Transliteration

Allahu 'Akbar, Allahu 'a'azzu min khalqihi jamee'an, Allahu 'a'azzu mimmaa 'akhaafu wa 'ahdharu, 'A'oodhu billaahil-ladhee laa 'ilaaha 'illaa Huwa almumsikis-samaawaatis-sab'i 'an yaqa'na 'alal-'ardhi 'illaa bi'idhnihi, min sharri 'abdika (name of the person), wa junoodihi wa 'atbaa'ihi wa 'ashyaa'ihi, minal-jinni wal'insi, Allaahumma kun lee jaaran min sharrihim, jalla thanaa'uka wa 'azza jaaruka, wa tabaarakasmuka, wa laa 'ilaaha ghayruk

Translation

Allah is the Most Great, Mightier than all His creation. He is Mightier than what I fear and dread. I seek refuge in Allah, Who there is none worthy of worship but Him. He is the One Who holds the Seven heavens from falling upon the earth except by His command. (I seek refuge in You Allah) from the evil of Your slave (say the person's name), and his helpers, his followers and his supporters from among the jinn and mankind. O Allah, be my support against their evil. Glorious are Your praises and mighty is Your patronage. Blessed is Your Name, there is no true God but You.

Hadith about the Dua

"حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ‏:‏ إِذَا أَتَيْتَ سُلْطَانًا مَهِيبًا، تَخَافُ أَنْ يَسْطُوَ بِكَ، فَقُلِ‏:‏ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَعَزُّ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ جَمِيعًا، اللَّهُ أَعَزُّ مِمَّا أَخَافُ وَأَحْذَرُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ، الْمُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعَ أَنْ يَقَعْنَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ، مِنْ شَرِّ عَبْدِكَ فُلاَنٍ، وَجُنُودِهِ وَأَتْبَاعِهِ وَأَشْيَاعِهِ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنْسِ، اللَّهُمَّ كُنْ لِي جَارًا مِنْ شَرِّهِمْ، جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ، وَعَزَّ جَارُكَ، وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ، وَلاَ إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ، ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ‏.‏

Translation

Ibn 'Abbas said, ""When you go to an awesome ruler and fear that he will attack you, say, 'Allah is greater. Allah is mightier than all His creation and Allah is greater than all that is feared and all that you are wary of. I seek refuge with Allah. There is no god but Him, the One who keeps the seven heavens from falling onto the earth by nothing except His permission, from the evil of your slave so-and-so and his armies and followers and supporters, both among jinn and men. O Allah, be my protector against their evil. Your praise is great and Your protection is immense, Blessed is Your Name. There is no god but You' three times."" [Sahih (Albani). Adabul Mufrad: 708]

Benefits & Virtues

The final ayat of Surah Baqarah fill Muslim hearts with hope and power. Allah's forgiveness flows through them. They make Iman and Amal grow strong. Every day gets filled with Barakah and Allah's mercy.

The last 2 verses of surah baqarah keep Muslims away from heavy loads and show the path to good Amal.
When to Recite Dua For Protection From Enemies

Common Questions

Tell Allah to protect you from bad people, those who are unfair, and anyone who helps them. Use Quran words and what the Prophet Muhammad taught when you ask for help, safety, and kindness.

Surah An-Nisa says we should ask Allah to save us from those who hurt others. It also says Allah will send help. Muslims read this surah when life gets hard or unfair.

Be kind, fair, and forgive if you can. The Prophet Muhammad and the Quran teach muslims how to act and what to say when this happens.

Say Allaahummak-fineehim bimaa shi'ta. This means you ask Allah to protect you however He chooses. Read it when you meet people who hate you or want bad things for you.

Read Allahumma inna naj aluka fi nuhurihim, wa na udhu bika min shururihim. It asks Allah to remove fear. You stay safe from enemies and whatever harm they plan.
