ٱلۡقَدۡرِ

We sent it down on the Night of Glory

And what
أَدۡرَىٰكَ
adraka
can make you know
مَا

لَيۡلَةُ

(the) Night
ٱلۡقَدۡرِ

What will explain to you what that Night of Glory is

(is) better

أَلۡفِ

a thousand
شَهۡرٖ

The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months

تَنَزَّلُ
tanazzalu
Descend
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
al-malaikatu
the Angels
وَٱلرُّوحُ
wal-ruhu
and the Spirit
فِيهَا
fiha
therein
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by (the) permission
رَبِّهِم
rabbihim
(of) their Lord
مِّن
min
for
كُلِّ
kulli
every
أَمۡرٖ
amrin
affair
٤
on that night the angels and the Spirit descend again and again with their Lord’s permission on every task

سَلَٰمٌ
salamun
Peace
هِيَ
hiya
it (is)
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
until
مَطۡلَعِ
matla'i
(the) emergence
ٱلۡفَجۡرِ
al-fajri
(of) the dawn
٥
[there is] peace that night until the break of dawn
